Itinerant Photographic Exhibition
“Monitors of the Mesoamerican Reef”
The itinerant photographic exhibition "Reef Monitors" is composed of 144 images captured by the lens of 52 participants. Men and women passionate about photography and conservation. The photographs illustrate at least 76 reef species (marine vegetation, sponges, corals, crustaceans, echinoderms, mollusks, fish, reptiles, and marine mammals) in sites of the Mexican Caribbean and Pacific, in their natural processes (feeding, resting, shelter, reproduction, spawning, nesting, care of offspring), some with affectations (dead coral, shadow of sargassum), and actions undertaken for the conservation of marine nature (support for the control of exotic species, restoration of reefs, implementation of artificial habitats).
